Wonderful sea facing rooms with clean linen and bedding. Everything was perfect. One negative point was that the service staff insisted and kept on asking for tips before checking out. Also, one should avoid the restaurant downstairs..it has pathetic food hygiene and can serve spoilt/rotten food confidently. There are many options for food nearby. Overall superb location and superb view! Recommended! :-)

A very good hotel in front of the sea beach. Location wise very good, rooms are clean and well maintained. Restaurant is also there at the basement and foods are tasty enough. Price of the rooms are fully justified if you consider the service and the location. I got the room 303 which is the best sea facing room of hotel Shakuntala. More or less all the side sea facing rooms offer good view of the sea from your room. Balcony is attached with the rooms. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Shakuntala.

The best part is the location... The worst part that hotel doesn't have facilities that match the price. Hotel have own restaurant; best for Bengali cuisine... All the Sea facing rooms doesn't give the best view of sea

Good accommodation and amenities available here. Location is also great, very short distance from Puri railway station and Sri Jagannath Temple. Escalator is there. Not so much crowded like those hotels around Swargadwar. Staffs are quite friendly and helpful. Proper cleaning is available on daily basis. Overall a great experience indeed. Would like to visit again.

We planned a sudden trip to Puri from Bhubaneswar on 5/12/23 and thought of spot checkin after we reached there. We were 5 adults in total and they offered us 2 rooms (AC) in the ground floor. Charged 5000/- total for 1 night including all taxes. Rooms were pretty good. Neat & clean. Bathroom was also tidy. The main attraction was the location. Right on beach road. Food was expensive. We ordered 6 rotis & one aloo gobi masala which costed 460/- and next morning we ordered tea which was 25rs/cup. It's better you go outside and have your food or tea.

Havent stayed in this hotel...have seen it from outside...right on the sea beach you can say...they have sea facing rooms too...and yes saw sign board of the bijoli grill....

Loved the service and hospitality Was facing AC cooling issue however after we reported, they immediately changed our room to a room with better air conditioning Staffs are well behaved and responsive Best part is the location very close to Puri sea beach
